Serial Data Kit
TXDTA10020C
The Serial Data Kit helps you manage your contacts, synchronize that
data between your and cell phone, and access the Internet via a wireless
modem-like Internet connection.*
Use with Palm™ devices might require a null modem adapter which Kyocera
does not provide. (Null modem adapter purchased separately)
By entering contact names and numbers into your computer, using the
desktop software you can quickly and easily synchronize and save that data
to your phone (This synchronization of data does not apply to a PDA device).
Kyocera's desktop software 2.0 will allow you to Drag and Drop data
from Microsoft® Outlook® and Outlook Express messaging and collaboration
clients to your Kyocera Wireless phone.
Included with the Kyocera Phone Desktop Software is our serial data
cable. In addition to data transfer functionality the serial data cable
has a charging port to accommodate our Kyocera Travel Charger TXTVL00861C
(Use the link below to purchase the Kyocera Travel Charger). Plug this
Travel Charger into the data cable's port and charge your phone's battery
in approximately 2 - 3 hours.

Frequently
Asked Questions?
What is the
major difference in the USB Data Cable and Serial Data Cable?
The difference
is in the way the Cable connects to your computer. The Serial Port Data cable
can only connect to the Serial Port (also Called: 9 Pin Port/ RS232 Port)
of your computer. The USB Data Cable can only connect to the USB Port of
your computer. Most new laptops are coming with the USB ports only . The
buzz word in the computer industry is that the computer manufacturers are
moving towards eliminating the serial port in the new computers all together.
