What are Quick Disconnect Headsets? |
Quick Disconnect - The quick disconnect clip half way along a headset
cable allows the user to leave their desk without having to remove their
headset. The Quick Disconnect is a feature in H-series and P-series
headset systems that allows the user to temporarily and conveniently
disconnect from the headset amplifier or telephone without having to
remove the headset or lose the call.
If there is a caller on-line when the user disconnects from the
amplifier or telephone, this action will temporarily place the caller on
hold. You'll need to reconnect to talk to and hear the caller. |

What are Noise Canceling Headsets and Microphones? |
Back to Top |
| Noise-Cancelling microphones screen out extraneous sound that makes them
ideal for noisy work environments or open plan offices. Noise canceling
improves the quality of a call primarily for the caller who does not
hear the background noise around the headset wearer. |
| |
| What does the multifunction button do on my Headset? |
Back to Top |
| The functionality of this button is phone dependant. On most phone
models (like Nokia or Sony Ericsson) the button will either answer or
end your phone call. On newer phones you can hold the button down and
use advanced features like voice dialing. |
| |
|
What if my phone doesn't support the multi-function button? |
| Unfortunately, not all 2.5mm phones will support the multi-function

phone to answer and end calls. All phones will support the volume
control feature. |

YES!! The Health & Safety Executive recommend that all intensive

headset.

know that headsets -

What is the difference between an Encore headset and a Supra headset? |
Back to Top |
The Encore headset has a tone control switch, the Supra headset does
not. The Encore Binaural headset has a yokeless cable design, which
means that there is only one cable coming down from the headset. The
Supra Binaural has two wires coming down from the headset and terminates
in a yolk. Both the Encore and the Supra can be purchased with noise
canceling microphones.
The supra does not have the tone control feature or have the swiveling
earpieces, which the Encore does have. On the Binaural versions of these
headsets, the Supra has a Yoked Binaural cable design. The Encore has a
Yokeless Binaural cable design. |

| How can I tell the difference between the standard and Polaris
models? |
The Polaris looks the same as standard but they are wired differently
because they are un-amplified and do not require an amplifier which is
why the Polaris style will not work with the amplifier.
The Polaris version plus into the "Headset" port rather than through the
"Handset" port.
There are 2 ways to tell the difference.
1. The date code is different and will usually (not all)
start with the letter "P"
2. The cable that comes with the Polaris has a Smokey grey
color modular plug while the standard cable has a clear modular plug. |
| |
