European Union drops planned TV/GPS tax on cell phones (Mobile Burn)
Reuters is reporting that the European Union has decided to drop a plan to tax cell phones because of their increasing multi-functionality. Manufacturers lobbied against the new plan because it would raise the barrier for devices already hurting in the economic slowdown.
