HTC has unveiled its new flagship phone, the
HTC Touch Diamond, with compact size, specially designed mobile browser
created by Opera Software, and a new 3D touch interface called TouchFLO 3D.
Media is catered for on the HTC Diamond with a
3.2-megapixel main camera - with autofocus and capable of video recording - and
a front-mounted VGA camera for video calls. The smartphone also has an FM radio
with RDS. 4GB of internal storage supplements the 256MB ROM and 192MB RAM, and
battery life is quoted at up to 270/330 minutes talktime for WCDMA/GSM or up to
396/285hrs standby for WCDMA/GSM from the 900mAh power-pack.
HTC is providing a new customized mobile Web
browser that enables easy viewing and navigation of websites in the way they
were designed. As part of this browsing experience users can zoom and pan
Websites with one-hand and automatically view optimized content that has been
specially created to fit the display. Turning the device sideways automatically
rotates the web page view from a portrait to landscape view, thanks to built-in
tilt sensors.
The 2.8 inch display provides near-print quality viewing with VGA quality that
enables web browsing and viewing of photographs at higher quality. The built-in
camera includes an optical auto-focus lens that ensures photos taken are clear
and consistent.
