To disconnect the AC plug adapter:
- Turn the Apple iPod Power Adapter so the Apple logo faces you and is correctly oriented.
- With one hand firmly hold the power adapter.
- With your other hand hold the sides of the AC plug adapter and firmly pull it away from you. The AC plug adapter should separate from the AC power adapter.
Safety precautions:
- Do not use other power adapters. Use only the Apple iPod Power Adapter with your iPod. Adapters for other devices may damage iPod.
- Always leave enough space around the power adapter to allow air to flow.
- When plugging in or unplugging the power adapter from an electrical outlet, always hold it by its sides. Keep your fingers away from the AC plugs.
- The power adapter is a high-voltage component and should not be opened for any reason, even when iPod is off. If the power adapter needs service, contact your Apple Authorized Service Provider.
- Never force a connector into the power adapter port. If the connector and port do not join with reasonable ease, they probably don't match.
- You should use the FireWire or USB cable that comes with your iPod.
