H/PCs and PDAs connect to the Internet much in the same way PCs connect to the Internet. Basically, the PCs that display the web pages (called clients) connect to the computers that contain the web pages (called servers). When using H/PCs or PDAs to connect to the Internet, these devices now become the clients. Since they are wireless, they connect to the servers through wireless connection technology.
There are a number of wireless connection options that exist for connecting H/PCs and PDAs to the wireless Internet. The three most popular methods are through infrared cell phone connections, wireless card/modem connections, and data cable connections.
